Citizens Advice South Hams have funds from DCC as part of the current Household Support Fund to support local households with fuel vouchers. This is a new scheme starting immediately and continuing up to the end of September.  Clients who have already received fuel vouchers can apply again and can have up to two x £98 vouchers if required and they meet the criteria outlined below.
We welcome referrals from your organisation as a trusted community partner for your clients that meet the following criteria
·  Household has a prepayment meter (this is where the householder pays for gas or electricity before you use it – on a pay-as-you-go basis. This is done by buying credit, usually with a key or smart card, and adding this to the meter. Smart prepay meters allow users to top up online or via an app - this does not include 'coin' meters)
·  Household is struggling to afford to top up the meter
We ask that you do not actively promote this scheme externally, but identify relevant clients who you are already providing support to - this helps us to reduce the opportunity for fraud.
